All of your information is kept private and only used for research purposes. The CMT is a compassion measurement tool that uses the Assumptions about Compassion as its foundation. Survey information was gathered over the course of 6 years and this information also serves as a foundation for the CMT. In addition, the CMT assumes that compassionate people are recognized as compassionate because they act this way. It is assumed that there is a relationship between acting in a compassionate manner consistently and the depth of the person’s compassion skills. This assumption was examined through a qualitative (interview) PhD dissertation and after that through a survey of over 500 respondents. Using this information the Theory of Compassion Development was developed and combined with a Philosophy of Compassion, this formed the foundation guiding the questions in the CMT and what is being examined using the data from the CMT. The CMT is built upon information in a previous survey and that information is currently being analyzed.More information about the data collected on compassion will be available in the future
